Arrival by air at Dehradun or rail at Haridwar, hotel check-in and rest, then evening Ganga aarti with reserved seating so the group is not standing in a crush.

A deliberately gentle first driving day through Mussoorie, with tea and rest halts every ninety minutes.

Drive to Janki Chatti, then the 6km ascent. Ponies and palanquins are booked before you arrive, so there is no bargaining at the base at 6am.
