A deliberately gentle first driving day through Mussoorie, with tea and rest halts every ninety minutes.

Drive to Janki Chatti, then the 6km ascent. Ponies and palanquins are booked before you arrive, so there is no bargaining at the base at 6am.

Short driving day with a stop at Vishwanath Temple in Uttarkashi. Built in as a recovery day after the Yamunotri climb.
